I believe that purpose of education is to provide a child with the opportunity to develop into responsible, self relient individual who has gained a positive self concept. Children need to be provided with an environment which promotes productive relationship with their peers and adults.
I believe that children learn best through feelings, thoughts, and movements and they need to have opportunity to master the art of walking, talking, creating, and analizing. Releasing enormous potencial of every child is a delicate and rewarding task.
I believe that every child is to be provided with atmosphere in which she or he:
- feels loved and valued. Has safe and secure environment.
- has the opportunity to give, to share, and to receive; to learn to work and play with others.
- exprtesses their feelings freely and appropriately; knows when to utilize adults for assistance.
- develops reasoning skills, problem solving skills, and independence.
I believe that childrens feelings must be recognized.
I believe that when teacher and children work together they create a meaningful learning environment that develops self-confidence, self-control, and self-esteem.
I believe that chilldren need to be taught to use memory to predict, plan, and react.
